The focus of the GEAR UP program is to get middle and high school kids and their parents ready for college.

GEAR UP programs are located all across the country with 9 clusters in Chicago - consisting of middle schools and high schools. Each cluster is partnered with a university.

Roosevelt University is partner to the Woodlawn neighborhood schools. There are 7 schools in the Woodlawn - Roosevelt University Network.

The Woodlawn schools are:

• Fiske
• McCosh
• Wadsworth
