What is unique about this program is that Merrill Lynch is providing support beyond the scholarship monies, encouraging students as young as seventh and eighth graders to envision and prepare for college.

 

Are You up for an "Adventure"?
 
Are You up to an Adventure? This is not "normal" Summer School. Several GEAR UP Networks put together "Adventure Programs". What can you study? Take an expedition down the Amazon. Study, with the help of a famous paleontologist, "Dinosaurs" and how about "Math" expeditions? All Summer Academies had field trips, swimming fun, and art projects. Also, learn about our "Summer Blast" programs for high school students.

Success Clubs let you plan ways to learn more about professional careers, i.e. videos, guest presenters, shadowing, volunteer work, field trips, and attending local community and professional meetings and seminars.

is a weekly television program available to Chicago School children every Thursday night at 7:30 to 8:30PM. Exponents, parallel lines, triangles, hi tech answers....this is the place to be.

More than 1,500 children in Chicago public schools participated in a Kids at Hope Rally that was funded and supported by Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicago to officially kick-off the Chicago GEAR UP Alliance.
