Institutes and Seminars

View the Registration Area for various Professional Development Institutes offered at this time.

One of the great strengths of the Chicago GEAR UP Alliance is the ability to draw upon the expertise and most innovative programming of collaborating universities and multiple partner institutions to benefit the partnership as a whole. Each network has developed a range of professional development seminars and institutes tailored to the needs of partner teachers and students.

The range of offerings includes programs in Inquiry Based Instruction which integrate the Arts and Technology throughout; Literature-based Math programs that promote literacy while teaching math concepts; and Young Adult Literature conferences which support teachers in developing curriculum to increase student literacy skills.

While registration preference is given to teachers in the sponsoring Network, the following programs are open to all teachers from the Chicago GEAR UP Alliance Partnership schools. This list is being updated on a regular basis, so check back for new opportunities. And remember to check your Network Site by using the drop down navigation bar for additional opportunities available within your network.
