Team Building and GEAR UP
Contrary to popular belief, the
purpose of teams in the workplace is not to make people
feel good. Rather, they should be used to accomplish
specific goals and objectives
Unfortunately, there are lots of obstacles
to effective teamwork. Identifying and overcoming
these obstacles is the purpose of team building.
Using a combination of experiential learning
and classroom techniques, the participants walk
away with new skills and a better feeling about working
in a team-based environment.
This is the main goal of the Team building
courses offered by GEAR UP Chicago.

The Chicago Teachers' Center held an Experiential
Programming Workshop for Teachers, Tutors, and
Administrators. View

Participants
were able to participate in the workshop that
promoted the integration spirit, body, and mind,
taking a holistic approach to learning.
Workshops each day provided a variety of theories
and practices of experiential education
and its successful delivery. Some workshops raised
moral and ethical concerns in learning, and use
experiential education to support and promote
social responsibility.
And of course, this workshops took
participants on a journey of imagination and creativity,
engaging them in the wonderful experience of fun!
Participants who completed the 3-day seminar were
given a "bag full of goodies"
to take back to the classroom and use these valuable
new teaching concepts in the classroom. |
