A Brief Overview of the Current GEAR UP Grant (2005-2011)

   

Over the duration of the grant, the Chicago GEAR UP Alliance will serve over 10,000 students and their families. The current GEAR UP grants focuses on a cohort group of students from the classes of 2011 and 2012. The grant for $49.4 million dollars covers six years, from 2005 - 2011, and serves 21 high schools.

Program Objectives

logo Increase 10,295 GEAR UP students and their families’ knowledge of post-secondary education options, preparation, and financing.
